Can you provide calorie value of different lentils?!

Question:

Can you provide calorie value of different lentils?

I recently read an article where they state that one can loose weight by including higher portions of lentils and cutting down on rice. Is this true?

Answers:
mmmm lentils!!!

Lentils are high in proteins and low in carbohydrates than rice. The starches and carbohydrates content of pulses are complex type and are digested and absorbed slowly. Whole pulses contain insoluble and soluble fibre.
