Why is revenge a dish best served cold?!

Question:

Why is revenge a dish best served cold?

Answers:
Several reasons.

1. You will have time to decide if you really want to get revenge or let it go.

2. You will have had time to come up with a good revenge plan.

3. If you wait a while and don't mention any plans for revenge then it will be an even bigger shock for them. Also you are more likely to get away with it if they don't remember making you mad.

A hot dish warms the soul..................serve it cold and hard.

I guess becaus ea dish is always preferred warm and if you are trying to be mean it is cold????? i dont really no but i did hear that in Star Wars the Wrath of Khan! CAll me a dork, but I like that show now

Easily prepared.

Those who seek revenge are cold-hearted.

because when you're really mad at someone, you're considered hot (hot-tempered, angry and etc) and when a person is mad they dont exactly stop to think about what they're doing. when you cool down and think about what you're going to do to get revenge, you use your brains and therefore come up with a much better plan. therefore you're cold :)? thats just my thinking...

Because if you stop and think about it, you won't end up doing something that'll make you look stupid!

Cold is reffering to the hart, tis only a warm hart that dishes out love and only a cold hart that dishes out the other.

Revenge is a dish best served cold because the person receiving the revenge does not expect it. It tends to drive home the point that you remember being wronged by them with a little more force.

and eaten witht the fingers..so one may relish the moment....

When you are very angry and highly emotional you usually act impulsively and without thinking and do stupid things that you regret later on.
Instead you should take time to think things over and plan your stratedgy. Your revenge will be much more effective with a cool clear head and therefore much "sweeter!"

Yes it is. I mean how many people wish to seek revenge with warmth?

lozza

its easier to get the seasoning right.

You now know from many sources ,why cold? i will say it is a dish better left off any menu.

Who wants a cold meal especially in winter. Mind you this logic is lost if salads are preferred.
Revenge is taken with a cold heart.

So that:
a- the person being served knows without a doubt that they've been served
b- they don't enjoy it at all but they have to eat it just the same.
