Recipe for perfect sweet ice tea???!

Question:

Recipe for perfect sweet ice tea???

Answers:
bring a small pot of water [about a quart] to almost a boil and set a gal. size tea bag in. put the lid on and let it set for about 45 min.. next put 2 cups of sugar in a gallon tea container. pour the now warm tea into the sugar and stir well, mixing this into your syrup type base. i usually squeeze out my tea bag also. when its finally stirred add water to the top as you continue to stir. you will want to refrigerate this for at least 3-4 hours before serving. you can serve it earlier but most people's tea will have a "thinner" taste if not allowed to "set up". i use Lipton presently but it works well with any other brands.. please try this recipe, i never have any left over. a gallon sometimes sounds like a lot but tea is inexpensive and its better to have a little more for your guests that not enough.

8 cups water
4 small or 2 family-size tea bags (recommended: Lipton)
1 cup sugar
8 cups cold water

In a teapot, boil 8 cups water. Add tea bags and remove from heat. Let steep for 5 minutes, or to taste. Strain tea into a gallon-size pitcher and add sugar. Add remaining cold water to pitcher and stir. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Mix 1/2 cup sugar (up to 1 cup depending on how sweet you want it) to 4 cups water. Bring to a boil and then add tea bags and remove from heat. Let tea steep for 5-10 minutes. remove tea bags and let cool for another 10-15 minutes - this is important if you are using a glass pitcher for the tea. if you are using a plastic pitcher you really don't need to let the tea cool as long. Pour over ice in a pitcher and serve. If you like lemons in your tea, add lemon slices with the tea bags to steep and remove them with the tea bags.

I brew my tea and then let it sit for a sec.I then pour my sugar into the bottom of the pitcher.Pour the hot tea over the sugar and dissolve it well. Now put the rest of the water in stirring as you go.The dissolve sugar makes the Sweet tea...Hope this helps.
