Let's put it this way: most mechanics clean their spark plugs and carborators with Coke.

mythbusters did this and found non were corrosive but coke did make a steak turn colors and fall apart after a few weeks

when we did it, we had like 5 or 6 different sodas, put them in a glass container (one per container), then put a large nail in it. Let it set for a week or however long. We did it with nails, screws, and something else. If you can get different metals, you can say how Coke is worse on iron, but pepsi is on aluminum...or whatever the case may be.

Good luck!!

All soda's deplete your calcium levels.

one way is to take the sodas in question and pour a small amt over one spt on apiece of raw steak and time each and see how fast the soda eats through the meat

An interesting FACT about "Coke" is that their is something in the syrup that settles upset stomach's, when someone is very sick, and cannot hold anything down, a table spoon of ROOM TEMP. "Coke" every 1/2 hour will keep them from vomiting, and keep them "Hydrated".

Place a slab of meat in a bowl and pour in some soda. Wait a few days to see whether the meat has been corroded.
