Is white tea as good for you as green tea?!

Question:

Is white tea as good for you as green tea?

Is white tea as good for you as green tea?

I have been drinking a cup of green tea each day, but I also like the flavor of white tea. Does white tea provide the same health benefits as green tea does?

Answers:
the only difference between white and green teas are in the processing of the tea leaves. Green teas are more processed (oxidized) than white teas. White tea comes from the youngest tea leaves and therefore, have a more subtle delicate flavor. As far as being as good as green tea, I believe so. Although I'm not positive. Green teas are known to be high in antioxidants and EGCG (catechins). I've also read that white teas are as healthy for you, but has more caffeine. That's still up for debate.

Nevertheless, I like to vary my tea between black, green, and white teas. Just so I don't get bored with one tea. Note a lot of green and white teas come flavored with fruit or honey or any other flavor (like vanilla). So you're never gonna be bored with tea choices..I wouldn't worry which is better, just enjoy all! good luck

yes

most every site you visited on the Internet would extoll the medical virtues of green tea. only one variety however is supposed to have the outstanding medical benefits and that is
camellia sinensis. most sites strongly claim that green tea will strengthen your immunity system against cancer, prevent heart disease, slow your aging process, and generally keep you in good health. thus far the FDA has only approved green tea for one use and its not in line with those claims. white tea , based on what i'm reading is not as well known , but is becoming in stronger demand. it was kept in china for centurys in secret and is only recently being discovered. it's taste is pleasurable and other than having a bit higher caffeine does not appear to have any problems. most people seem to like it very well. i guess you can decide who may be right or wrong, but i hope you enjoy your tea. i drink green, but now that i've answered your question i'm going to try white.

the only tea that is really good for you is herbal tea because green tea and black tea and probably white tea have something in them called tanic acid which acts like caffeine.

I guess, but I don't drink tea.
