Will coke ACTUALLY melt a tooth.?!

Question:

Will coke ACTUALLY melt a tooth.?

Do not answer if you have never PERSONALLY done it. I've had a lot of people say they've done it and they say that, "someone they know" has done it.
THat's how myths get started.
I've never known someone who actually did it have it work. (granted this is only 3 people but still)

Please and thanks.

Answers:
No it just rots them and makes them more yellow. Vinegar will do that, though.

No, it won't ACTUALLY melt a tooth. It will cause it to rot.

well it just causes tooth decay and numbs your gums killing nerve tissue thats when your teeth start to go

I did and it didn't dissolve it. I only left it for a day though.

I did it while my teeth were in my mouth.

My dentist told me several years ago, "Keep drinking that Coke, you're going to make me rich". I stopped drinking it and my cavity and gum problems stopped.

No they tested this myth on Myth Busters and it was Busted. Granted the tooth did look GROSS!!!. But they also just left it sitting in a cup of coke for I don't remember how long but quite awhile.

Dunno about melting a tooth but it'll darn sure "cook" a raw egg, to a certain extent.

Yes! Sister is a dentist so drink milk and save your teeth!

According to "Mythbusters" no.

No it won't. but isn't it kinda scary that it will clean off all the crud from battery acid in your car???
