Does evaporated milk have the same nutrients as regular milk?!

Question:

Does evaporated milk have the same nutrients as regular milk?

In other words: is it OK to drink it on a day-to-day, month-to-month basis like you would with any regular gallon of milk? Does it have all the same nutrients and calcium as regular milk?

Answers:
Evaporated milk: Milk, Disodium Phosphate, Carrageenan, Vitamin D3.
Nutrition Facts: 2 Tablespoon ( 1 oz) =
40 calories, 2 g fat, 10 mg cholesterol, 30mg Sodium, 90mg Potassium, 2 g protein and 3g sugars.

Milk: Milk, Vitamin A Palmitate and Vitamin D3. Nutrition facts: per 1 cup (8oz) = 140 calories, 5 g fat, 20 mg Cholesterol, 140 mg sodium, 10 g protein, and 14 g sugars.

As you can see from above there is Potassium in Evaporated milk and not in milk.

Also note the calories are: 2 tablespoons
equals 1/8 cup or 1 oz. There are 8 oz in a cup. 8 oz x 40 calories = 320 calories in a cup of evaporated milk.

You decide which is better for you. By the way, are you trying to gain weight?

yes because it is a concentrate form of regular milk. In fact equal parts of water mixed with the evaporated milk is the equivalent of milk.

Years ago before the invention of canned formula evaporated milk was often used to feed babies that weren't nursed.

In our home we like evap milk in lieu of half and half or powdered creamer in our coffee and tea.
