Best independent coffee/tea shoppe in Chicago?!

Question:

Best independent coffee/tea shoppe in Chicago?

I'm looking for a place to chill out after work. A nice NON-starbucks coffee shoppe where I can get a good mocha from time to time. Preferrably a place easily accessible from the Loop and/or the blue line.

Answers:
Sips Coffee house at the corner of Grand and Ogden (roughly 1200 W Grand) get off at the Chicago stop on the Blue line and walk 3 blocks down ogden......it is on the south side of grand.....

It has a great atmosphere and lots of chairs/ couches/ tables and an outdoor garden area to sit in. Great place been going there for 3 years now, owner and staff are great and friendly.
And they make wonderful latte's

Well, one of the only decent non-Starbucks coffee places near the Loop would be Intelligentsia Coffee at 53 W. Jackson. I haven't had their coffee, but from the smell of it, it's pretty decent stuff. And not as crowded as the plethora of Starbucks locations you'll find in the Loop.
