Pepsiholic, help?
I have a terrible addiction to pepsi, primarily for the taste ( I can get the caffiene from coffee) What is it in there that I have to have? I have tried green tea with gingsing and that is the closet I have gotten to a subsitute for my craving. I do not like diet sodas, and I know the sugar and calories are catching up with me. Anyone have any good ideas for a subsitute that will satisfy my taste buds?

While you are getting caffeine from coffee, you are also getting a ton of it from the soda. I would recommend you start slowly switching out the regular Pepsi for the caffeine free version. Caffeine is addictive, so that may be a good start.
Unfortunately, sugar is also addictive. If you can't stand the taste of diet, and can't substitute a couple of the Pepsis for alternatives like seltzer or fizzy lemonade, you may want to try going to a Food Addicts meeting in your area. Drinking that much soda can deplete calcium from your bones, as well as causing many other health problems.

PS. Another healthier alternative to regular soda are sodas like Izzy and GUS (Grown up soda). They are sweetened with fruit juice, and have no artificial sweetners in them.
