Brewed Coffee Shelf Life?

How long after I start drinking my coffee can it sit on my desk before it is too bad to drink? I may buy coffee in the morning and sip out of the same cup all day at work. (Considering it is room temperature).

I meant, in the cup, with milk. After the best taste goes away I do not care. I want to know when it will be too old to make me sick.
