Diet Coke or Coke Zero?
Whats the difference and which do you prefer?
Answers: coke zero, tastes just like coke, i bet loads of people reply OMGZ THEY ARE BOTH BAD FOR YOU OMGZ THEY ARE BOTH BAD FOR YOU The diet in diet coke is actually bad 4 your brain, so i'd have to say coke zero. zero is the best zero is too sweet. Coke zero I am sadly addicted to diet coke, and thus rather partial. I'm not a fan of coke zero, as I think its taste is too sweet and too much like regular coke. Hum...thats a tricky one. Well coke zero has no calories and coke zero has half the aspartame but more ace-k. I prefer Diet coke because thats the one i've ever had!~ ooh...i didn't know this off the top of my head..i actually looked it up. = ] I don't know if I even could recognize them in a blind test. But I always buy Coke zero, because apparently it is really sugar free. Coke Zero. Tastes more like regular Coke and is fun and fizzy. I just wish it came in caffeine free because I can't drink caffeine (but I have to be just a little bad, so do indulge in a few sips every now and again). ;-) I work for a restaurant that serves both and I just asked my coke man this earlier this week. Here's what he explained:
Diet coke was created back when diet drinks were first coming into popularity. It was made with a completely different formula from classic coke b/c people expected and wanted a diet drink to taste differently.
Coke Zero is the formula that they use in Europe as diet coke, though it has a different name there... can't remember off the top of my head what it is. It is the same formula is regular coke except with fake sugar instead of real sugar.

If they're not all that cold, or even at room temperature, then Diet Coke tastes better. As long as it's not that new Diet Coke with "vitamins/minerals/herbs" then I don't care. That new stuff just tatstes plain oily. Diet Coke tastes like a diet soda...Coke Zero tastes like regular Coke..just Zero calories. I prefer Coke Zero, just because I don't like the taste of diet. I've never been a fan of Diet Coke, so I was skeptical when Zero came out. Having found out that Diet Coke doesn't use the same formula as Classic Coke now explains why I hate Diet Coke so much.
Of the two, I definately prefer Coke Zero, because it seems like it's far closer to Classic Coke than Diet Coke is. I understand why some people think it's too sweet (for a diet drink, it probably is a little too sweet), but I definately still prefer Classic Coke to Zero, as well. (Guess I just like my sugar)
But, if you're looking for a diet drink that's close to the original, you should totally go for Zero. Coke Zero is the best. Coke zero has no calories diet coke is being phazed out with the more real coke tasting of coke zero. coke is the real thing and coke zero is the closest thing to the real thing.
