Is it true that botteled water doesn't have to be approved by the fda??!

Question:

Is it true that botteled water doesn't have to be approved by the fda??

with that said...is any bottled water better than others?? what about voss water or any other high priced water/sparkling water or whatever better

Answers: nothing consumed by humans is exempt from the FDA. as far as anything being better, if you take purified water its usually tap water just bottled for your convenience and run thru a pointless filter, however it will still have fluoride added from the city which is good for your teeth. spring water has no benefit, other than its water. wats the fda? Not true to your question.

All companies bottling water need the approval of the FDA.

But some people and companies sell "illegal" water; they buy or re used empty bottles and they fill them with tap water or whatever they want (that's why I wouldn't trust people selling water in the streets).

As for quality they are almost the same but some taste wort than tap water. I know that Dasani (from coca cola) once sold bottles that had a nasty white stuff floating inside the water. So no more Dasani for me. Mabye, but not likely!
