Bottled water has chemicals but what about tap wateR?!

Question:

Bottled water has chemicals but what about tap wateR?

Answers: My understanding is that bottled water has fewer toxins but more bacteria than tap water, so it is probably the better bet for healthy individuals wanting to minimise their intake of pollutants. There will be some contamination from the bottle itself if plastic rather than glass and this may increase over time and if exposed to heat, sunlight or other degrading factors.

Tap water may have more toxins but fewer bacteria (if you're speaking about city water which is treated) and this may be better for those with vulnerable immune systems, such as the very young, ill or old.

Probably the best choice environmentally is a good quality filter on your kitchen tap which will minimise or eliminate toxins, which won't entail truckloads of bottled water, and which avoids the contamination from bottles. tap water is full of chemicals...you're better off drinking rain water and why does bottled water that supposedly has taken Millions n Millions of years to filter through rocks n volcanos.......Have a use by date ????? Well I didn't realise mineral water had chemicals because I thought it was natural??!! Tap water has chlorine and lots of chemicals because it has been recycled from our poo and wee! Mmmm just going to fetch a tasty refreshing glass now.... Yes there are chemicals in tap water too. Florine for instance among others.
