Are clear areated drinks better than cola soft drinks?!

Question:

Are clear areated drinks better than cola soft drinks?

are clear drinks like mountain dew, seven up, sprite better than cola drinks like pepsi, coke, etc.?

Answers: No, they aren't. Just read the nutritional info on the can and you will find that they all have approx. the same sugars, caffeine, etc. (except 7 up which has zero caffeine and artificial colorings) Mountain Dew isn't clear, it's a weird neon green which I would be more scary than the cola soft drinks I think...but supposedly the colorings are safe for us to ingest. (research the old red M&M scare that happened way back which changed the way we as a nation think about food coloring additives) Also, coke syrup is also used in its undiluted form as an anti nausea remedy and has been for years and years...you can buy it at the drug store. Anyhow, I guess it's all in what you like.

a bit about the RED M&M scare HERE:

"Red M&M's were discontinued for 11 years from 1976 to 1985 after the FDA banned Red Dye No. 2, even though M&M's did not contain this dye. They have always used Red #'s 3 and 40!

Many consumers protested, and a student at the University of Tennessee (Paul Hethmon, the photo editor on the student newspaper, the Daily Beacon) started a society for the Restoration and Preservation of Red M&M's. Eventually the company relented and began producing it again. It was reintroduced it at about the same time as glasnost and the crumbling of the anti-Red scare. Focus groups were held to decide the correct proportions for the gradual reintroduction of the banned variety during the Christmas season of 1985.

The new proportions were 30% brown, 20% red, 20% yellow and 10% each of orange, green and tan for plain M&M's."

http://www.foodreference.com/html/artman... no well not really because they are both preaty much made out of he same things the only different thing is that they are made in different companies dental hygeinist told me soda is worse for teeth due to the acidity The brown colored ones stain teeth more Not sure which would have more acid perhaps someone else will answer that yes Yes very much so! Dark soda also make you break out, unlike clear sodas...clear sodas are much better for your skin and stuff...but still have just as much sugar and stuff in it.
