#46: Hong Kong Powdered Water
In 1982 the South China Morning Post announced that a solution to Hong Kong's water shortage was at hand. Scientists, it said, had found a way to drain the clouds surrounding the island's peak of their water by electrifying them via antennae. The paper warned that this might have a negative impact on surrounding property values, but the government had approved the project nevertheless. Furthermore, more clouds could be attracted to the region by means of a weather satellite positioned over India. And finally, as a back-up, packets of powdered water would be distributed to all the residents of Hong Kong. A single pint of water added to this powdered water would magically transform into ten pints of drinkable water. Hong Kong's radio shows were flooded with calls all day from people eager to discuss these solutions to the water shortage. Many of the calls were very supportive of the plans, but one woman pointed out that the pumps needed to supply powdered water would be too complicated and expensive. Source(s):
So this happened to be an April Fool's joke, but with all the technology we have, why can't someone come up with a way to do this? Come on folks! Somebody! THINK! Once again. Spell POWDERED. Yes, and you just add water! Absolutely. And the really neat thing is it compresses to almost nothing, which is so handy when you are hiking or travelling.
Ain't science grand? No. What would you add to powdered water to make it a fluid again? haha umm what?

wouldn't that be snow? Don't forget about the solar powered flashlight ;) One of my friends in high school had an empty sealed can in his kitchen. The label says "Dehydrated water, just add water and serve!" Water powder can be done, but you must split the oxygen atoms in one individual pocket and the other hydrogens atoms in the other individual pocket, and then to make water, you smash the bag, the two chemicals got mixed together and voila!! You get instant water, isn`t wonderful?
As if it could be useful, maybe, as the water produce would be pure at 100% without any contaminant (100% sterilized), and could be stored indefinitly, but you will need some minerals in it, to make it drinkable.
