How do you make homemade iced coffee?
Answers: A good way to make iced coffee is to brew a pot of coffee but make it double the strength you normally would.
Alot of home coffee makers won't be able to handle doubling the coffee grounds so, put in as much coffee as you normally would but only use half as much water to brew the coffee.
Once it's brewed, either put it in the refrigerator or freezer to cool it. Or, if you like your coffee with milk or cream, get a cup, over fill it with ice, add milk/cream to taste and pour the hot coffee right over the ice and milk.
The absolute BEST way to make iced coffee is to simply brew a shot or 2 of espresso and then pour the hot espresso directly over ice and add whatever you like to the drink.
A coffee press is also an awesome device to brew coffee for iced coffee. You would have better control over the temperature of the water and the strength of the coffee that way. Source(s):
Worked in coffee shops for over 10 years and am an absolute coffee fanatic. make coffee then put it in a blender with ice Brew a pot of coffee....let it cool...pour it over ice and flavor as desired. Get some of that Nescafe Ice Java Coffee Syrup and just add ice and milk. It's just like an ice cappuccino and at a fraction of the cost. This is going to sound totally crazy, but it works. I live in Florida and make iced coffee every morning.....too hot for regular java.
Brew coffee as you normally would. Put some ice in a glass along with a spoon (regular soup spoon). Pour the freshly brewed hot coffee into the glass. The spoon 'absorbs' the heat from the coffee. I don't know the exact science of the conductive powers of stainless steel spoons - but it works. Your hot coffee will instantly turn iced. It won't hardly melt the ice cubes. I usually keep the spoon in for a couple of seconds - give it a stir and it's ready to go!

* Get a glass, put one teaspoon of coffee in it.
* Put 1/4 hot water.
* 2 tablespoons of ice cream
* Add milk, and stir.

Or brew an extra strong batch of coffee or make a shot of espresso an pour over ice and milk and put whipped cream on top if feeling very decadent. Brew the coffee double strength, or else when you add ice it will be too watery and there will not be enough flavor!
