100% juice?!

Question:

100% juice?

How can it be 100% juice if it says "with other natural flavors"? What % do the "other natural flavors" compose? It's not really 100% juice if you're adding to it. Don't make excuses for these juice companies. They must be mathematically honest.

Answers: The flavors are probably from fruit (or vegetable) sources and they make up less than 1% of the volume. I think they mean that it is only juice, not any other beverage like soda, tea, coffee, or something.... I believe a label would read something like...

"100% pure orange juice, from concentrate, with other natural flavors"

If you remember high school chemistry, we are talking molar solutions. It is 100% pure orange juice to start, then concentrated, then water added to reconstitute, and then other natural flavors are added. Natural flavors are completely artificial, however they are not un-natural flavors - like concrete, dirt, grass, or motor oil.

Just because the 100% OJ is in bold doesn't mean it has precedence over the rest of the text. Its so you buy their product I have one that
says 100 percent juice its mango orange
but it says with added (apple juice)which is cheaper
so its 100 percent but not the juice advertised on front.
or one my daughter has says 100 percent apple juice
from concentrate. They might add natural flavors so that the juice tastes the same between all of the lots. I remember someone writing that a natural flavor could be anything from a juice extract, oil, or other natural source of flavor. It's probably not a significant percentage of the volume which is why they can claim 100% juice.
