Don't know if it's actually true or not, but I've often heard of people asking for them, saying that their school or church are collecting them for this reason. Been going on for years. None are worth that. The inside It is the pull tab. But it all depends on each dialysis clinic. We have one here in Charlotte that if you collect either 500 or 1000, it will get the patient one free session of dialysis. There is a whole bunch of us collecting these pull tabs because her insurance only covers a very small portion of her treatments, and this helps her out quite a bit. Check with your local clinic to see what they offer for exchange. Good Luck.....:) it is the pull tabs. The pull tabs are worth the most because it's easiest to recycle. You get the most metal for the least volume. The pull tab, I know because I save them and my moms friend takes them to Childrens Hospital in Philadelphia, and we have received letters thanking us for helping out. We have been collecting them for several years, they cash them in on the aluminum. All proceeds go towards dialysis. It's a simple thing to save and we all come across tabs. so next time pick them up and help a child.
