What is the difference between desi chai and chai from starbucks?!

Question:

What is the difference between desi chai and chai from starbucks?

Desi chai you just have to add milk but starbucks and such put a whole bunch of stuff in their. Why is that? Is Starbucks just changing chai or was chai really suppose to be the one that is sold at starbucks.

Answers: Starbucks patented Tazo chai (the American version of good ol’ desi chai).
read here:
http://www.mouthshut.com/review/tazo_cha... I am indian and my mom makes a masala chai, which has spices in it and I am pretty sure that is what Starbucks is trying to imitate, but believe me the homemade stuff is way better than Starbucks anyday. I hope that helps. i don't get the "chai" thing...what is the deal. chai just means tea that's it.
