Is it just me, or is Starbucks one of the worst coffee shops?!

Question:

Is it just me, or is Starbucks one of the worst coffee shops?

Solely based on their coffee, and no little sugary frappaccinos, Starbucks has horrible coffee. It's so strong, that you need 75% milk in it and it's usually cold. The quality of their coffee is horrible, it's like the Mcdonald's of coffee. Who agrees?

Answers: I'm with you. It's like they put a whole bag of burned beans in each cup. Also, when you ask for them to leave you room for milk, they leave you a half-inch! I don't agree at all. I am a coffee lover, and have tried different brands all over the United States and Cananda, and to my taste the two best are Starbucks, and Seattle's Best.
Both are full bodied and flavorful, and I'm not talking about fancy mixed coffee drinks, just plain coffee.
We also use Starbucks at home because Seattle's Best has to be shipped in and Starbucks we can purchase locally.
I use the Komoto Dragon, and my wife uses the French Roast, both dark and rich.
But this is our preference and taste, others such as youself have other taste's, that's why they sell more than one brand, "one size does not fit all". I agree. We call it Charbucks, famous for that burned coffee aroma. Ick! As you say, unless you down out that "burned to a cinder" taste with lots of milk and sugar, it's simply awful.

Oh yeah - I forget to mention, my daughter used to LOVE it - until she quit smoking and found out what it actually tasted like. i think that it must be you 'cuse where i buy my cofee its always good. maybe you just need to be more specific with your order Personally, I prefer the Premium blend of coffee at Mac's Mart. One day I had it side-by-side against Tim Horton's (sorry, no Starbucks here) and Mac's came out ahead by a mile. I live out in the boonies and the closest Starbucks in ninety miles away so I just make my own coffee in a pot and it taste just fine. I don't agree at all, Starbucks is great coffee and also Seattle Best and don't forget Blue Mountain from Jamaica. I completely agree with you. It tastes burnt. Well Starbucks is just a quick place where you can go out for a quick cup of coffee. Its not THE best coffee but its something that'll keep ya awake. Dear someone special,
Starbucks uses "Espresso Roast" blend which is Starbucks signature blend, for their daily usage. All coffee base drinks are made from Espresso Roast, which is bold, strong and caramel type.
Starbucks taste that strong because of the espresso roast.
For the half inch space leave for milk, it is their common practice except you ask for more space before they prepare the coffee.
Well, customer can actually request for the milk to be heat up, i do request for it once. But if you order cappuccino, then it will be good coffee with lots of milk.
There is another scenario which you taste the coffee awful, Starbucks do serve their daily coffee of the day with their weekly coffee recommendation, which they pick 1 blend of coffee bean to be brewed batch by batch for whole day serving, different blend taste different. Maybe you taste some blend which is not your liking then.
Hope this will answer your question. Have a nice day. aw how bad can someone have it? aw coffee tasting bad, wow you must have some really bad problems....coffee not tasting good, sheez thats like rock bottom unluckiness....joking...jeez girls complain about anything these days.... i think their coffee is too weak and all the other drinks they have are way overpriced.
i better get it at 7-eleven or grocery store I'm glad it isn't just my family who thinks the coffee at Starbucks is not good. Totally over rated.
