Would drinking around two cans of Pepsi One a day effect the amount of head aches some one has?!

Question:

Would drinking around two cans of Pepsi One a day effect the amount of head aches some one has?

I'm a little worried about the amount of Pepsi One someone I know drinks.

Answers:

Headaches can have SO many different causes.
-Caffeine can cause headaches
-withdrawal from caffeine can also cause headaches
- Pepsi One contains sucralose (an artificial sweetener) which may cause headaches or trigger migraines in some people. Yes, they say it is a "natural" substance, but it is a "chlorinated sucrose derivative" in other words, it is processed by adding chlorine to sucrose (sugar).
- Pepsi One also contains acesulfame potassium which is another artificial sweetener which seems to be a bit controversial as to whether it causes headaches and other side effects
Is Pepsi One good for you? - no. (soft drinks in general are not designed to be nutritious nor healthy) If you need info on that, check out this link http://chetday.com/softdrinkdangers.htm...

If the person you are concerned about really wants to eliminate or reduce the number of headaches they have, I suggest journalling. You keep a notebook with you every day, and jot down everything you eat or drink (preferably with times). Every time you notice that you have a headache, you jot down:
what time it is
where you are
what the conditions are like (light/sound/temp/etc.)
what you have been doing for the last hour or two
what you have eaten or taken (drinks, too)
where & what the pain is like
what you do to try to relieve the pain (break from current activity, water, OTC meds, nap, ice pack, etc.)
and the results of those things.
It is good to also record when you sleep, how well you sleep, and how you feel when you wake up.

How long you need to journal depends on how often you have headaches, how severe, and how well you journal. If looking at your notes does not reveal obvious causes for your headaches, take the journal to your doctor.
