Question:

Is the coffee used to make espresso the same as the one we use in a regular coffee maker?

i live in italy and i want to send my aunt who is in america an italian espresso coffee pot but i was wondering if she would have to buy a special type of coffee or if she could just use the regular type

Answers:

Most every grocery store no matter where you are in North America stock one kind of espesso, or like here in Canada we have stores that sell bulk coffee and the have espresso beans, you can buy and grind fresh at home.

I live in Toronto, and we have the second largest Italian population in the city next to major citys in Italy, and there are probably at least 20-30 brand here.

The only thing in the US is if she is in an area like the south or midwest, were there not very ethnically diverse, it may by hard, but some place near by would have something for her.
