Can I use those sweet syrups that are used to make Italian sodas to make frozen pops?!

Question:

Can I use those sweet syrups that are used to make Italian sodas to make frozen pops?

It's hot and it's summer , so frozen treats are in order , I like the flaver of the Italian sodas , but will they freeze and should I dilute them? What is a good mix? Any ideas ? Please keep in mind these are for children.

Answers:

I've done this many times without dilution. Try crushing ice in a blender, then mix in a little syrup and some sugar. I've found that the easiest way to get the flavorings are from coffee stores that sell them to flavor coffee or from specialty cooking store. You can also just use what you have around the house (e.g. Vannilla extract, lemon juice, ect.)
