I've had that happen when I've damaged my taste buds. Like when I was little, I licked a metal ice tray and also when I've burned my tongue on a hot beverage. I've also heard, from my friend with rumatoid that the steroid she takes, Prednizone, does that to her. If you have not had physical damage done to your mouth recently (to explain the taste), I would ask your doctor or dentist's advice.
