Buying a magic bullet and a normal blender?!

Question:

Buying a magic bullet and a normal blender?

im thinking about buying a magic bullet and im also wanting a blender. can anyone see a point in getting both? pls be thorough and informative. thnx

Answers:

I have both. Well, the magic bullet I have is really a knockoff from Walmart, but it works GREAT for things like smoothies and salsa. It does not hold a lot though, and for that reason if you plan to make large quantities of anything, I would have both on hand. The magic bullet is great especially for smoothies because you can make the drink, pop it off and put the lid right on and take it with you, which is what I do a lot before going to work. Granted, I don't have the exact magic bullet, but it is very similar and the concept is the same. The only thing it really doesn't seem to do like the commercials is make anything that ought to be chunky. Most everything comes out totally smooth, so chunky salsa is kinda out. I get by most of the time with the magic bullet and love the fact that it is small enough to store in a drawer or cabinet and pop it out and use it quickly, rinse it off and put it all away. Much less hassle than a blender.
