Whats the proper way to clean out a coffee pot?

for the pot it self I would use some Ice, a little water and some table salt. swish it around and rinse good. that should help.
if you like you can use baking soda and a little water to make it a paste and rub it around the inside of the pot. again rinse with a lot of water.
