Can you put dry ice in punch and serve it providing you don't touch it?!

Question:

Can you put dry ice in punch and serve it providing you don't touch it?

I want to serve a witches brew and want to add dry ice... can we drink it?

Answers:

You can use dry ice but with caution as Dry ice is not edible and should not be served with the drink. It will stick to your mouth if put in the drink and give you a severe coldburn. It can be safely used to cool the drink though. The recipe for witches brew using Dry ice is:
1 can Grape Juice. (Dark color) 1 can Pineapple Juice. (Strange pulpy texture) 3-5 pounds of food grade Dry Ice. (Do not use regular ice) Mix room temperature juices together. When ready for special brew add the Dry Ice. Do not touch Dry Ice directly, but use insulated gloves or tongs. Ladle juice into cups without any Dry Ice and it will be perfectly safe.
Just make sure that the container in which you store Dry ice has sufficient empty space in it for the expanding gas and secondly never put dry ice in a bottle, the bottle might explode.
