Can tap water alter urine test for alcohol?!

Question:

Can tap water alter urine test for alcohol?

Your urine is mostly water if you purify it you'll have drinking water so would some, not a lot of tap water still mess up screening for alcohol levels? How would they know its been diluted slightly?

Answers:

It could.

The additives in tap water will appear in higher, unmetabolized levels out of the tap then they will after going through the kidneys and liver.

Detection for dilution will occur if the specific gravity index is below a certain point. this will occur naturally if you are over hydrated and unnaturally if you are "mixing" urine.

Failure for dilution is not bad per say, they just retest you because clean people can fail for dilution.
