7UP or any other lemon/lime type drink often will help an upset stomach or nausea. It is the combination of the lime or lemon and the carbonization (the gas bubbles) in the drink. Gingerale always worked better for me.
Much like the early years of Coke a Cola when it was used for headaches because it actually contained small amounts of Cocaine.
