How bad is drinking an old opened bottled of water?!

Question:

How bad is drinking an old opened bottled of water?

I'm kind of an idiot - I had an opened bottle of natural spring water that I kept tightly closed in my room from a couple of months ago and since it was full, I decided to drink over half of it now. Big mistake as bacteria must have invaded it right?

So how sick am I going to get? Ugh, I'm so worried!

I have wondered about this question too. but I would think once you have opened it its best to be consumed relatively quickly. However if you look at the drink dispensers often seen in work places they might be drunk over a few days or a few months so probably the key thing is whether you have drunk from it. Probably the worst thing that could happen is you get an upset tummy depending on what you ate that day. Obviously if you ate meat and its been growing meat bacteria particulary chicken it wouldnt be a great bacteria to get. If you feel crook keep some rehydrating fluids in your home and that should keep you out of hospital unless you caught something really bad and need to go to casualty! Good luck
