Drinking 3 cans of diet soda per week? What are the health risks if any?!

Question:

Drinking 3 cans of diet soda per week? What are the health risks if any?

Answers:

I don't think you're going to die, like most other people suggested. Artificial sweeteners do contribute to Diabetes, but at 3 12-oz. cans per week, your chances are slim. However, if you use artificial sweetener (like Equal, Splenda or NutriSweet) on a regular basis in other foods, then your chances are higher. Obesity also contributes to Diabetes.

There was a new study that came out a couple weeks ago that contributed diet soda to heart disease, but it's still inconclusive and in need of more research.

Hopefully, the rest of your diet consists of healthy items and you drink lots and lots of water. If that's the case, you are in no danger treating yourself to a diet soda every once in a while.
