Powdered cream?!

Question:

Powdered cream?

Does powdered coffee cream, the kind that does not need to be referigerated, ever go bad?

Answers:

Like most fabricated food, it probably could be buried in a time-capsule and not "go bad", per se. However, most products will have a "best by....[date]" to indicate when you may need to throw out what's left and buy another. I doubt it would turn into something with live bacilli in it, but if the company says it won't be much good after that date, then they're probably right. If no date appears anywhere on the container, then figure 3 months maximum before it starts to taste stale or vaguely "off". You might consider saving an empty jar and putting the powdered cream in it and then in the fridge...might ward off the "off" taste.
