Do you think beverages at restaurants and at the store are relatively expensive?!

Question:

Do you think beverages at restaurants and at the store are relatively expensive?

You've heard how fountain soda is pretty cheap and how they make so much money off of it, and that sodas other bottled drinks are marked way up in price. is it just me or do we spend too much money on bottled drinks. thanks for your opinions

Answers:

Beverages are really the only stuff that a restaurant can sell to make a decent margin. With all the "all you can eat" specials, and the larger portions abounding, profits from food sales are weak.

Without profit, a restaurant goes out of business. Beverage sales are the easiest way to generate the highest margin with the least labor and overhead.

Buck the system; drink water, instead. It's much, much better for you.
