Does heating the teapot before putting the water in really make a difference?!

Question:

Does heating the teapot before putting the water in really make a difference?

Answers:

Yes, yes, yes. You should put a small amount of water in the teapot (preferably a Brown Betty type of teapot, of course) and tip it out just before the kettle boils. Once you have put the tea in the pot the freshly boiled water must go in straightaway. If the water is off the boil or has been boiled more than once, then tea connoisseurs will notice the difference. Put a cosy on it after this and wait for the tea to brew.
