Why does Tim Hortons coffee taste better in Canada than the US?!

Question:

Why does Tim Hortons coffee taste better in Canada than the US?

I live near a Tim's in Ohio, and the coffee is decent enough - but the cup I bought in Canada was SO much better.

Answers:

the types of coffee that they use could be different. I know that mcdonalds uses different brands / types of coffee. Tim's may use different blends / brands in each of its restaurants.
