Brewing the perfect tea? How do you brew Tim's tea?!
Brewing the perfect tea? How do you brew Tim's tea?
So here goes.
Tim's meaning Tim Hortons Tea.
I am looking for suggestions to making Great Tea. I like mine right now but I like Tim Hortons a little better sometimes. Thier Steeped tea.
What I do is a different method of tea making but it was effective.
I cleaned out a coffee pot and tried the following
Brewing 3 tea bags in the strainer tasted a tad bitter but great
Brewed with 2 in the pot itself tasted great.
I add sugar afterwards to taste.
Also using Tetley tea bags. (round ones)
My question is this. If you are to use a coffee pot. As it keeps and gets water dam hot (and only thing at my work so plz dont suggest all types of kettles or pots)
Where do you buy your tea? if it's not the regular type of Red Rose or Tetley, or Salada.
Also if you use tea leaves what should I look for? what kind? Keep in mind I like it as close to possible as tims steeped tea unless you have a better one.
Any websites to buy tea from? And what makes tea good quality? I know its alot to asnwer

Ok , well brewing the perfect cup of tea requires the proper materials, like a tea kettle, infuser etc. But since you don't have those materials, you'll have to make do with what you have.
What I would do in your situation would be to call Tim Horton's. After buying a cup, politely ask them what kind of tea they use. If they refuse to answer, then experiment.
You mentioned Tetley's. those are good. I've also heard many good things about PG tips. Salada is good. I personally buy Celestial Seasonings, Tazo, and brands in Asian marts. I buy tea anywhere I find it interesting. I recently bought stuff in a specialty wine shoppe that had stuffed animals like foxes and lions (no joke).
I buy green, white, oolong teas. I recently received some lichee tea as a gift, and it's awesome.
It sounds like you are brewing your tea correctly, if it tastes great. I suggest you invest in a tea kettle that boils water. You'll be able to control your water temp, and not with a coffee maker.
the best online tea website, which also has a bunch of information is
