Is there anything differenet in the tea when you brew it in cold water instead of boiling water?!


Question:

Is there anything differenet in the tea when you brew it in cold water instead of boiling water?

and i am not referring to liptons cold brew i am referring to the average tea bags that are to be brewed in boiling water, will it work if so are there any nutritional differences

As everyone else has said, seeping tea in cold water isn't a good idea because... well... it won't really seep properly. I don't know about you, but I don't like waiting for days to get vaguely tea-colored/flavored water. Use hot, barely boiling water and let seep several minutes. If you want to keep the concentration, use a little boiling water to do the initial seep, then finish off the rest of the normal water amount with ice/ice water after you've taken out the bags/leaves.
As for hot tea vs. cold tea, I do remember reading something about some nutritional benefit gone to waste because of cold tea. I don't think the difference is significant enough to worry about, but I would recommend drinking your tea as hot as you can without burning yourself or causing lasting discomfort (sensitive teeth=personal experience=unpleasant).
Then again, iced tea is more versatile and some prefer it cold...
