What is the best way to ship pint glasses?!

Question:

What is the best way to ship pint glasses?

I want to ship a set of pint glasses cross country and the last time I tried the glass broke. I wrapped them in bubble wrap and boxed them but they still broke even though fragile was written all over the box. Any ideas or special postal shipping for this situation?

Answers:

I'd wrap them in bubble wrap individually. Get a box that's a little bit bigger than the glasses put together. Wrap the bubble wrapped glasses into paper and pack them into the box. Fill in any empty space with enough paper to completely fill the box preventing the glasses from moving around. Then seal, mark as fragile and ship. Be sure to buy insurance for them so that if they arrive at their destination and are broken, you have the ability to be reimbursed for them. Oh, and I would get a tracking number so the package can be tracked online while it's enroute.

You could send them either FedEx overnight, UPS overnight or by regular post office either first class or regular mail. First class, FedEx, and UPS are a little more expensive, but reduce the risk of breakage during the somewhat shorter trip. You could also use another shipping companies like DHL, but I personally would prefer to use FedEx or the post office's first class option.

Good luck to you.
