Why do some people think water from other countries are better?

*Somebody* has to have the best water, right?
I suspect artesian wells in the Great Lakes States might have the best-tasting, safest water in the world.
Europe, Asia and Africa have had too many years to screw up their water supply. There may be artesian wells in the Amazon valley, but I'm not sure how tough their sanitary protocols are.
But the Great Lakes States are in "other countries" to most people on this planet.
