Does water from different countries taste different?!

Does water from different countries taste different?

I like the brand water VOSS which cost like $4 a bottle and is from Norway. My friends call me stupid because they think it is the same thing as our local bottled water. Am i insane and is it just in my head or is their a difference?

I would say they do taste different because even the various US bottled waters taste different (there are some I refuse to drink)! The waters from different areas taste different as some are 'harder' than others, have different minerals, etc. This water is the base that all that filtering, etc is done to...it will taste different.

The best water I've ever had is the water from Mt St Helens (not bottled).
