Why do so many people refuse to drink tap water?
A lot of people here (Canada) refuse to drink tap water because they say it is unhealthy when I have seen all over the internet and TV that tap water is sometimes better then bottled water. So why are people so into bottled water? I think the tap water here is perfectly safe and OK to drink.

It's a status thing a lot ... people think its cool cuz the celebrities do it ...
I think it's silly to pay up to 3$ for water when you can buy a refillable bottle at wal-mart or other discount store for less then that and rewash and fill with tap water .. a new study came out saying .. THEY ARE FILLING WATER BOTTLES WITH TAP WATER **GASP**....around here there is a disclaimer on some that the water inside is not spring water !!but from a public water source
