Depends on what you are going to use it for...
Distilled water contains nothing but hydrogen and oxygen molecules, it is perfectly sanitary but would taste dead or bland.
Most municipal tap water has been shown to be safer to drink than the majority of bottled water, but sometimes carries a chlorine or other type smell due to inferior plumbing.
Spring water could arguably be the best tasting, but may not be regularly tested for contaminants.
