im finishing my lab but it asked how does the experiemnt mentos into diet coke make a connection to every day life? help. . . .

When you put a mento into diet coke, the coke won't accept the chemicals from the mento, so it spits it back out again.
A lot of times, when a person tries to get into a group, but your personalities (or "chemicals" in relation to the mento) cause that group to reject the person, and they are left to find somewhere else to go, just like the mento.
