It depends on your microwave. Some are hotter/stronger than others. Heating milk in a microwave can cause it to boil over and flow out of the mug. So, you need to test it, 30 seconds at a time. It also depends on what you mean by 'hot'. Do you mean boiling? Anything over 1 minute will make it warm. Again, depending upon your microwave's power, it may take up to 2 1/2 to 3 minutes to heat it properly.
