When water has Crystal Light powder poured into it, is it still considered water or is it a different drink?!

Question:

When water has Crystal Light powder poured into it, is it still considered water or is it a different drink?

Answers:

Anything you add to water can change it's nature. Most commonly, ingredients you add can turn water into a diuretic. A diuretic is a chemical that will cause your kidneys to work harder to rid your body of water. Water in itself is a diuretic, but it is a gentle and natural one, and your body needs water.

Artificial sweetners like those in Crystal Light are diuretics. Sugar and caffeine are also diuretics.

So, if you add anything like Crystal Light to water or, if you drink tea or coffee, DON'T count that beverage as your regular water intake. If you do, you are cheating your body of water, which is contrary to what you are trying to achieve by drinking water.
