Oops. Coffee question.?!

Question:

Oops. Coffee question.?

I drank a whole small sized capuccino in a hurry (ie, in 30s), and now I regret it. I don't feel particularly funny.. but I feel kinda dizzy.

Am I going to pass out? Cos' I really wanna stay up late tonight.. (I'm studying).

I don't want to pass out unexpectedly... if I'm going to pass out, or anything similar, I'd much rather know about it.

Thanks!

I rarely drink coffee... but I'm really studying tonight. And I haven't passed out yet. But I still feel kinda funny.

The drug in real coffee is something that takes time for your body to adjust to. For years I drank instant coffee and then started frequenting a place that served free real coffee. I still remember my first caffeine buzz after 4 coffees in quick succession.

You need to get used to drinking coffee. try making it weaker to begin with. If you are studying and want to stay awake, then be careful about using too much milk.

Also, get some bananas. Bananas release energy slowly and will keep you going. For a meal try pasta with fish - maybe tuna. Again, pasta releases enery slowly and fish stimulates the brian. If you can take it, add fresh chillies which are also powerful brain stimulants.

Coke and candy give you a temporary energy boost, but they really are short-lived. Bananas and pasta are much better for this - or even an oaty bar of some sort.

Space out coffee consumption if you are new to it. You can end up getting jittery and even panicky if you overdo it. You can't study if you feel like that.

The thing to remember about cramming study like this is to take frequent breaks. Have something to eat or watch 30 minutes of TV, then go back to it. Those short breaks will sustain you, even if you are cogitating over what you have been studying.

If you start to get very tired, sleep for a while. Sleep in multiples of two hours. There is a 2 hour cycle to sleep - the time it takes to drop into deep sleep and then come back up again. Then it starts all over again. So, even just 2 hours of sleep is better for you than a cup of coffee. Set your alarm and get a few hours before going back to the studying.

And whatever the studying is for ... good luck!
