Making a Coke float..?!

Question:

Making a Coke float..?

Can anyone tell me how to make a Coke float without having the Coke turn into a "yucky" brown foam when you pour the Coke in? I LOVE Coke floats but I can never make one without causing that brown foam to form in my glass. That makes me feel sick to look at and I then don't want to drink it. Is there anyway to avoid that awful foam? Thanks!

Adding the ice cream last is not a remedy for the foam either. Tried it.

Adding the ice cream last is not a remedy for the foam either. Tried it. rest the scoop of ice cream on the side of the glass then push it in right before you drink it, it'll still have a bit of foam due to a chemical reaction between the cola and the ice cream using chilled cola might also help. You are supposed to put the coke in first then the ice cream. Not really unless you use flat soda. Try to scoop it out or USE A STRAW

Try it w/ orange soda MMMM GOOD if you don't want the foam, put the ice cream in after you pour the coke. just make sure you leave room in the glass for the coke to rise when you drop in the scoop :) Try adding the coke first then the ice cream slowly. coke float

A cold drink/desert made by adding two or three scoops of ice cream (usually vanilla flavor) into a glass of Coca-Cola; more commonly made with root beer

This coke float sure does taste good on a hot summer day. Too bad we didnt have any root beer to make it with.

2 scoops Blue Bell? vanilla ice cream
1 can Coca-Cola?
2 oz Maker's Mark? bourbon whiskey

Scoop two large scoops of vanilla ice-cream into frosted beer mug. Next, add 2 ounces Maker's Mark. Then, pour in coke. Gently stir.

here's two recipes one non-alcoholic and one with bourbon.

hope these help. enjoy. Put the ice cream in last not first. yeah, you pour the soda in first.
