Any suggestions as to new coffee?!

Question:

Any suggestions as to new coffee?

having just purchased a new percolator we are finding fine ground coffee we were using is fine enough to slip through the basket and into our coffee.
now i am not sure just what grind to purchase and what brand? i know starbucks will grind to your specs but just wondered if anyone had any suggestions for a good brand of coffee we could find on the grocery store shelf?

why would we purchase a new coffee maker when we have what we want?
i realize the majority of people drink drip coffees but we prefer the taste of what we consider to be a 'properly made cup of coffee'. lol
anyway thanks for your input but we won't be buying a new machine.

A previous answerer stated that a coarser grind makes a stronger coffee, actually the opposite is true. She was correct on her second point though. there is a company called Bookish Coffee (whole bean) that we order from and their coffee is amazing. if you are grinding your own coffee, try grinding it only partially leaving it chunkier. this will do 2 things: 1) make your coffee stronger, 2) keep the grounds from getting thru the basket.

bookish coffee is a delivery service and it's like $5 a week which is about the same you'd pay for a bag of beans at the grocery store. their coffee is really good and delivery is quick. it's worth getting it there and not from the store. Well I use Folgers roast mild coffee or Maxwell coffee are good coffee to use because it drips Thur the grounds real good My initial response is to tell you to get a new coffee maker (not a percolator), however if you really prefer your coffee this way, then yes coarse ground is the way to go. I am a roaster with orange roasters coffee and we will ship anywhere for you. always shipped within a week of being roasted.
