What age should you drink coffee???!

Question:

What age should you drink coffee???

Answers: i started drinking coffee at age eight, and it has not stunted my growth at all, i am actually quite tall. i say let kids drink coffee whenever they start to like it, u can usually tell when they actually like it and when they want to act 'grown up'. but really it is a personal parental decision I don't think any child under the age of 18 should drink coffee. Their bodies are still growing. my son does hes 16 I started drinking coffee at a very young age but now I think some studies show that this could stunt growth. And otherwise it will probably cause a hyperactive kid. older than 21 coffe is awful is givesu bad breath disgusting teeth and stunts your growth it also make u get a lot of headaches You don't have to. Neither my wife or I ever started and neither of us are walking around like zombies all day. We actually only sleep about 5.5 hours a night and both work long hours. Coffee is for the weak, drink 10 glasses of water a day instead (sort of joking). i started drinking it in High School, they drink caffeinated sodas don't they? Unless it's decaf, when children are old enough to pay for their own. Never, it is not good for you.

The caffeine is a dangerous drug. My son is 7 and he asked to try some. However, I gave him maybe 1/4 a cup and mixed it with a LOT of milk. I think the last person was right, if he/she has ever had a caffienated soda, a little coffee won't hurt 'em. I wouldn't make a habit out of it either though. My son drinks coffee maybe once every two weeks to once a month, if that. Hot coffee should be when you are in college, fraps and caps should be when you want!

GO CARMEL VENTI FRAP!!!! My parents didn't want me to drink coffee and Cola until I was in Junior high school. I thought that coffee was the 'adult' drink when I was little. (Ha!) Now I love coffee! I don't think the small children should drink coffee, since it's loaded with caffeine, but maybe they should be allowed after high school?? I don't know... I never thought about that. Coffee, tea, cola, and chocolate all contain caffeine. If caffeine is the issue for kids, then don't give them any other sources of caffeine.

Coffee and tea both provide antioxidents. There are also some very healthy and beneficial nutrients in both.

Finally, it depends on the culture. In China, young children drink tea. In the South East US, young children drink iced-tea. In many Scandanavian countries, young children drink hot coffee. In the US and France, young children drink hot chocolate. All of these have caffeine, and if the myth of stunting growth were true, all of these countries would have populations that tend to decrease in size (in fact, the average height is increasing with every generation).

But, I also like the answer that if one is old enough to pay for it, then they should be old enough to drink it.

Gotta go brew some java. I'm 27 and I've never even had a sip of coffee. My cousin wouldn't go to kindergarden until she had a couple cups of coffee first! I don't think kids should drink it, maybe teenagers are okay. I really don't know and I don't have kids. Idk, over thirteen
