I think coke tastes better in a glass bottle. In mexico all the pop is in glass bottles.
Answers: there is this Mexican place we love to eat at close to home. They serve pop in glass bottles. So it is a treat to get a bottle of coke.
I have noticed in the grocery stores in the Mexican food isle, they have coke in glass bottles and some sort of orange and green drink in glass bottles. I think the main thing is it is colder in the glass bottle, making it a little better. I like soda better in metal cans. There's just something about the slight metallic tang it adds that makes the soda taste crisper. Coca Cola and Sprite taste so much better in a glass bottle. And it keeps them colder for a longer time. Much better in glass. ZOMG, it was the bomb, cans make it taste weird and fountain pop has too much carbonation in it. I miss the good old days. AGREE! I love going out to eat in Cozumel and ordering a coke cuz they bring it in a glass bottle w/ a straw. everything tastes better in glass Yes. Glass or can, never plastic! the reason Mexican Coke tastes better isnt the bottle, In Mexico Coke is still made with the old recipie using Pure Cane Sugar, in the US they switched to Corn syrup because they are cheap swine who sold out to the dollar over a quality beverage. ahhh..I LOVE Coke in a glass bottle..Plastic makes it taste flat & blah.. I think so but I dont know why. I do know that in canada and I think in mexico that they cant use high fructose corn syrup which is what sweetens all our pop in the states, that might be the difference you taste(yes its noticable). Oh yes! Sodas taste much better coming from glass bottles. I miss the good old days when every soda came in glass. Chugging a coke down and getting that tingle in the nose and watery eyes.... mmm. So good.
As others have said, Mexican soda is better not just because of the glass bottles, but because the drinks are made with sugar instead of syrup. Much better flavour. No, but Mom does.
